Surgeon, Dr. Dennis Begos Explains how Gastroparesis & IBS are Often Interconnected

Dennis Begos

Dennis Begos

BOSTON, MA, UNITED STATES, July 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Whether you call it heartburn, reflux, GERD or gastroparesis, these different names are all for one condition—burning acid in the throat and mouth and August is National Gastroparesis Awareness Month.

Dr. Dennis Begos explained, “Gastroparesis causes delayed emptying of the stomach acids and food, which creates numerous symptoms including acid reflux. Along with a great deal of discomfort and systemic health-related factors, what many people don’t realize is that acid reflux can adversely affect your lifestyle and coping abilities due to its chronic bodily distress.

“Over 20% of the population has IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), but that’s not accounting for the nearly 45 million Americans that silently suffer from the symptoms of IBS.” Dr. Begos explained, “There are two different types of this syndrome, IBS-D, and IBS-M. IBS-D is recurrent or chronic diarrhea, and IBS-M is a combination of episodic diarrhea or constipation. Both of these types of the disorder are often not diagnosed until 5-10 years after a patient’s initial experience.”

The IBS & Gastroparesis Connection
Many individuals that have gastroparesis also have IBS. These disorders seem to run parallel to each other due to their muscle contraction correlation. Dr. Dennis Begos Continued, “It is thought that the muscles lining of the intestines, esophagus, and stomach contribute to and influence both IBS and gastroparesis symptoms. Stress causes both IBS and gastroparesis to flare. Many of the foods that exacerbate both conditions are the same such as caffeine, fatty foods, spices, chocolate, dairy, and onions.”

Treatment
“Gastroparesis and IBS can be controlled with medication. Antacids work to tamp down both disorders. There are several different classes of drugs that work by helping to move food through the stomach and intestines more quickly and also by controlling the amount of acid in the stomach, which consequently alleviates the acid in the throat and mouth.” Dr. Begos explained further, “Your diet plays a huge role in the control of your gastroparesis and IBS. Lemon water reduces acid by reducing the PH levels in the stomach. The same holds true for apple cider vinegar diluted in water, but you must be certain to dilute the ratio in water to avoid excessive erosion and other acid-related issues.”

Surgeon, Dr. Dennis Begos has over 20 years of clinical experience in both academic and community hospitals and has held numerous key leadership positions, including Medical Staff President and Chair of Surgery. With his extensive experience in teaching and medical writing, Dr. Begos has been highly esteemed by his peers and patients over the past few decades, as he is recognized for his surgical expertise, innovation, and his significant experience with quality and patient safety analysis and reporting.

Volume Quoting Automation for LTL Shipments

Logistics Fox Freight Solutions

Teknowlogi Applied Intelligence

Logistics Fox Freight Solutions finds major benefit in Teknowlogi’s new bulk rating option

COSTA MESA, CA, US, July 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ —

Teknowlogi has released a new feature in its transportation management system (TMS) that automates the process of volume quoting. Freight brokers continue seeking automation from TMS providers to increase efficiencies and equip themselves with tools that will help them capture new clients and deliver better customer service. No company has automated the LTL shipment process like Teknowlogi. The new volume quoting tool is one of the many features setting Teknowlogi apart from TMS competitors.

Logistics Fox is a freight broker that has achieved incredible growth since the company’s inception in 2015. Their progress is attributed to a culture of highly knowledgeable, well-trained transportation professionals. The company prides itself on thinking outside the box and going above and beyond to ensure superior customer satisfaction. This talented team embraces the automation provided by Teknowlogi and finds tremendous value in the new volume quoting tool. As part of the company’s client-focused approach, Logistics Fox has always sought out the most efficient technological solutions to deliver high-level service.

Volume quoting has always fallen outside of the standard quoting process in LTL shipping. The current process requires freight brokers and shippers to manually call a carrier to ask for an LTL volume quote on all shipments over 10,000 lbs. or larger than 12 linear feet. Waiting on an LTL carrier’s response can take hours, causing interruptions in workflow. Delays can lead to frustrated customers, prompting them to look for quotes from other freight brokers.

Automated volume quoting provides an instant quote, eliminating delays and maintaining the same efficient workflows for both volume and standard quoting. The customer portal within the transportation management system (TMS) allows a freight intermediary’s customer to receive an LTL volume quote in seconds.

Torino Capital LLC encourages private participation for economic and social development

It is necessary to invest in measures that encourage the responsible management of private social investments, as well as in initiatives that guide and qualify these investments.”

— Fabiano Borsato – COO of Torino Capital

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, July 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Janaína Lima stimulates public-private partnerships in São Paulo, making the city more attractive to investors.

In July, Fabiano Borsato, chief operating officer of Torino Capital, had the opportunity to meet São Paulo’s city councilwoman Janaína Lima. During the meeting, public management initiatives that end up making certain places more attractive to receive incentives and investments were debated, as well as the potential, advantages, and results of public-private partnerships. Just as Janaína, Torino Capital, represented at the occasion of the meeting by Borsato, believes that encouraging private participation through corporate social investments is a fundamental movement for the economic and social development of any country. However, Borsato warns that, if this is to be done skillfully and beneficially for society, it is necessary to invest in measures that encourage the responsible management of private social investments, as well as in initiatives that guide and qualify these investments.

Councilwoman Janaína was in the United States, attending a course on public leadership called "International Program for Public Leaders" guided precisely by these qualification and investment orientation objectives. According to the councilwoman's reports on her social media networks, the experience was very valid mainly due to the data, case studies and projections presented on public-private partnerships. Throughout the course, a variety of tools were taught, such as metrics and checklist systems, that allow leaders to build reliable mechanisms to obtain more successful and prosperous public policy outcomes. One of the major problems faced by public management is the lack of monitoring and continuity of initiated projects, which is due to several reasons, including the exchange of governments. The mechanisms, tools, and techniques presented throughout the course appear as alternatives to deal with these problems of administrative instability, in addition to other difficulties.

Along with public leaders from different positions and different perspectives, councilwoman Janaína had the opportunity to learn from the experiences reported and debated among the participants, noticing similarities and addressing varied interpretations. In addition to exchanging experiences and taking lessons in the classroom, the group of public managers participated in visits to the American Congress, the World Bank, and the Brazilian Embassy in the United States. The meetings were instrumental in debating the priorities of relations between Brazil and the United States, as well as discussing the inclusion of Brazilian municipalities and states in international cooperation initiatives. More specifically about the city of São Paulo, the visit to the World Bank allowed them to think about ways to build transparency processes for all projects already approved by the World Bank for São Paulo.

Janaína also highlighted the visit to the NoMa neighborhood in Washington DC as an excellent opportunity to learn about the recovery work of an old dilapidated community of the city, whose teachings can be applied to the state capital. The purpose of participating in the course is to implement its learning to the reality of the city of São Paulo, improving existing public-private initiatives and stimulating new partnerships.

Who is Janaína Lima: Born in Capão Redondo, on the outskirts of São Paulo, Janaína is a lawyer and postgraduate in Public Law. Before starting her first term as city councilor of São Paulo, in 2016, the parliamentarian was Youth Coordinator at the State Secretariat of Sport, Leisure and Youth, and manager of the Development Agenda at the Secretariat of Planning and Regional Development in the government of the State of São Paulo. In addition to being currently part of the UN-linked network, Nexus Brazil, she was a member of Global Shapers, where she was chosen as one of the exceptional young women through an initiative of the World Social Forum. The parliamentarian has also run for a seat at the United Nations Women Latin America and the Caribbean.

Since 2015, she has been a leader for the Sustainable Political Action Network (RAPS), an organization focused on improving society through political action. Among the national and international awards she has already received, the most notable one is the First Sapphire Award from Rotary International. In April 2017, Janaína spoke at the Brazil Conference, organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University in Boston, United States. In October 2018, she lectured on education to young Brazilian students in the United States at Georgetown University.

As soon as she took office, Janaína gave up several privileges to which she was entitled, such as a driver and an official car, reduced her number of advisors, thus far-reaching savings of more than 3 million reais. The money already saved went to the Department of Education, applied to actions and projects aimed mainly at early childhood, one of the priority issues of her management. Another topic treated as a priority in her tenure is supporting entrepreneurship, the councilwoman believes that encouraging entrepreneurial spirits can help citizens transform their environment by creating new investment and development opportunities.

One of her projects with the most significant repercussion and impact is called Ambassadors for Change, a free-to-participate digital platform that allows any interested São Paulo citizen to engage in creating solutions to the city's problems. According to official data linked to the councilwoman, through the platform, more than 240 improvement projects have been developed in the town. The success was such that the platform eventually gave rise to a digital game, released in May this year. The game turns citizens into superheroes who, through their avatars, have to improve public management. The goal, besides to attract young people into the world of public politics, is to show the people in a playful way how bureaucratic barriers and rules of the government system often make it challenging to turn excellent ideas into reality.
Investment in education through public-private partnerships: Councilwoman Janaína, member of the Permanent Commission for the Defense of the Rights of the Child, Adolescent, and Youth, is implementing, in the city of São Paulo, the PROCRECHE, Municipal Program to Support Vulnerable Children in Daycares, and FUNCRECHE, Municipal Fund for the Support and Maintenance of Vulnerable Children in Daycares, through a bill of law of her authorship. While PROCRECHE's goal is to provide scholarships for children up to 6 years of age who come from socio-economically vulnerable family structures to study in private early childhood settings, FUNCRECHE's purpose is to collect and distribute resources for projects that are compatible with PROCRECHE objectives. Projects focus on what is called early childhood, which is when children are between 0 and six years old.

A lot of research about the importance of receiving appropriate stimuli in these early years, that consider this phase to be the high window of learning for humans, but perhaps the most recognized researcher in this area of research is the economist and Nobel of Economics of the year 2000, James Heckman, professor at the University of Chicago. According to studies and projections by Heckman, in addition to reducing social problems such as child mortality, violence, low education, investments in this specific part of society could result in citizens with up to 60% higher income potential compared to those without access to early childhood education and who do not attend daycare centers. Another study, called the Perry Project, conducted in public preschools in the state of Michigan, found that for every dollar invested in early childhood, more specifically in developing cognitive skills, a return of seven dollars for society would be generated in the long run.

These are some of the reasons that made Janaína focus her mandate efforts on making investments in early childhood and primary education. The strategy of using public-private partnerships was what made it possible for her projects to be implemented faster and bring significant results to the society of São Paulo.

Since the implementation of the Municipal Early Childhood Plan, more than 50,000 new childcare places have been created. Although this is an advance, it does not solve the problem with the lack of access to primary education for all children. Therefore Janaína proposes the creation of vouchers that would allow parents of children in the queue for a public school to pay for the education in private facilities. The Early Childhood Legal Ground project became law in October 2017, establishing public-private partnership instruments and mechanisms to ensure the best services for the full development of children.

The course for public leaders, recently attended by Janaína Lima in the United States, will undoubtedly contribute to the implementation and enhancement of more public-private partnership projects and initiatives, as many of the lessons and success stories presented throughout the course had as a principle this kind of investment.

TrackingMore.Com Brings Parcel Tracking Experience to a New Level

track your parcel on trackingmore.com

Track your parcel on trackingmore.com

Although international e-commerce is more and more popular nowadays, cross-border logistics is still facing many issues.

SHENZHEN, CHINA, July 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Before TrackingMore launched its international parcel tracking service, tracking of a cross-border parcel is difficult and painful.

Let's assume John Doe who love international shopping just bought a pair of shoes on eBay, and his Chinese seller shipped his parcel from China to the USA.

After seven days of anxious waiting, John Doe finally found his parcel finally left China in the China Post tracking page. John Doe was just joyful for a while, but soon he found the shipping information is no longer updated.

Why? Because China Post is a member of the Universal Postal Union. USPS will take over John Doe's parcel when his postal parcel arrives at the USA. So Jone Doe has to track his package with a new tracking number in a USPS tracking page.

For international shopping, sometimes John Doe needs to track 3 or 4 times if his parcel goes to different countries for transit.

To fix this issue, TrackingMore.Com was built up and provides one-stop tracking service for its users. Except for one-stop tracking service, TrackingMore.com digs deep in customers' requirement and launched email notify service.

Let's assume it's a beautiful sunshine afternoon, Jane Doe sits in her office watching shinning lawn outside, but inside of her heart, she is very fidgety. She already made a plan to visit her clients, but she has a critical DHL package on the way, which need a signature to deliver.

So she has to track her DHL tracking number repeatedly, it wastes a lot of her time, and she doesn't have the mood to work.

But with TrackingMore.com email notify service, she can totally drop this annoyance. She input her tracking number and email address in TrackingMore's DHL tracking page, and then she will get timely updates by email when her shipping status is changed.

International shipping indeed does have a lot of experience problems. The issues can only be solved when the overseas logistics distribution reach a high informatisation level.

However, this is absolutely a long-term system engineering. But with TrackingMore.com, you can have a brand new and enjoyable international shopping experience.

Now TrackingMore.Com already supports 610+ couriers all over the world, such as UPS tracking, FedEx tracking, DHL tracking, etc., and will keep hard working to provide better service for all its users.

Nonprofit Leaders Inspired, Connected at Tampa Bay Charity Coalition Luncheon

Nonprofit leaders at a bi-monthly Charity Coalition Luncheon on July 27th. Held at the Fort Harrison religious retreat, the Charity Coalition offers representatives of nonprofits the opportunity to meet and work together on similar goals.

Everything that has ever changed the world started with one person. You may think you are just one person, but one person can make a big difference.”

— Raul Arias Perez, human rights advocate

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, USA, July 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — On Wednesday, July 27th, the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization hosted a bi-monthly meeting of the Tampa Bay Charity Coalition in the Fort Harrison’s Crystal Ballroom, downtown Clearwater. Over six dozen Tampa Bay nonprofit representatives networked, learned about one of the charities and heard from Raul Arias Perez on his fight against human trafficking in Mexico.

Nonprofits present included Pinellas Police Athletics League (PAL), youth mentorship program TAG-IN and The Butterfly Effect of Golf. Clemence Chevrot, Community Affairs Director for the Church of Scientology in Clearwater and event MC, welcomed guests.

“We established the Charity Coalition five years ago to bring nonprofits together and contribute a community-oriented force for good in Tampa Bay,” said Ms. Chevrot. “By survey, we found that people decide to volunteer for or donate to a charity because the cause matters to them or the charity’s event sounded like fun, but most of all, because of the rewarding feeling you get when you help.”

To give an example of this, Ms. Chevrot welcomed Ms. Joanie Sigal, Chairwoman of the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Fashions with Flair Fashion Show. Ms. Sigal is a long-time Clearwater-area volunteer who sits on the boards of several nonprofits, including the Clearwater Jazz Holiday. Ms. Sigal spoke about how rewarding it has been to help CCV raise more than $200,000 over the past 15 years to provide underprivileged youth with food and toys.

Mr. Arias shared his story of the national campaign he created to combat human trafficking in Mexico. He knew he had to do something after hearing from parents whose daughter became a human trafficking victim. Since then he has been educating millions on the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights through the Youth for Human Rights program. One result of his campaign was to change the constitution of a Mexican State to allow for greater consideration of human rights.

Arias encouraged the audience to keep moving forward with their missions. He said, “Everything that has ever changed the world started with one person. You may think you are just one person, but one person can make a big difference.”

A speed networking segment followed wherein attendees had one minute to exchange as many business cards as possible. A few guests commented that they made more new contacts in one minute than in a whole week.

The next Charity Coalition function will be its 5th Anniversary Banquet on the 14th of September in the Fort Harrison’s auditorium. To attend or find out more about the Charity Coalition please contact Clemence Chevrot at (727) 467-6860 or Clemence@cos.flag.org.

San Diego Based “National Autopsy Experts, LLC” Sued for Consumer Fraud and Elder Abuse

Anthony R. Martin, age 69 and disabled, paid $4,650 for "expert" autopsy services to determine his wife's "cause of death", but got nothing but lies and excuses

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, July 31, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — In a Complaint filed July 24, 2019, San Diego based National Autopsy Experts, LLC and its chief executive Julia McGrath are charged with violations of California’s Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Elder Abuse, Fraud, and Breach of Contract in connection with a contract to provide expert autopsy and toxicology analysis to determine the cause of death of plaintiff’s deceased wife.

Plaintiff, the Rev. Anthony R. Martin, Sr., age 69, is retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, and suffers from multiple physical and mental disabilities. In August of 2018 he hired National Autopsy Experts, LLC for their advertised “expert” autopsy and toxicology services, but they failed to provide timely results and kept making excuses and asking for his patience. When his daughter lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in January of 2019, National Autopsy Experts, LLC responded to claim they were still working on trying to get results, and they said they had warned plaintiff it was a "high risk" matter. They never did provide any results or reports, and the Rev. Martin finally hired legal counsel to file suit in San Diego Superior Court.

The Complaint alleges that National Autopsy Experts, LLC and Julia McGrath are incompetent and knew from the outset they were unable to provide the “expert” services they contracted and promised to provide. It further alleges how, after taking inadequate tissue samples from the exhumed body of Betty Martin on August 9, 2018, National Autopsy Experts, LLC and Julia McGrath did nothing for more than 3 months, and when plaintiff began asking for the results, in December of 2018, National Autopsy Experts, LLC and Julia McGrath repeatedly lied and and attempted to hide their incompetence and deceit.

The Lawsuit is filed in California Superior Court in San Diego, and captioned “Rev. Anthony R. Martin, Sr. v. National Autopsy Experts, LLC, a California Limited Liability Company, and Julia McGrath, an individual, and DOES 1-25”. It is Case No. 37-2019-00038385, and is a matter of public record which can be viewed and downloaded from the Court’s “Register of Actions” website, at: https://roa.sdcourt.ca.gov/roa/
